He has spoken to venues around the world about the Middle East and often appears on television and in print.

Prior to beginning his tenure as Director of MEF, Gregg served as Director of the Community Relations Council (CRC) for the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. In 2014, Gregg was named one of the 10 most inspiring global Jewish leaders by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. He was responsible for the public affairs strategy, policy making, intergroup relations programming and Israel advocacy initiatives for the Federation. Under Gregg’s leadership, the CRC was the recipient of the 2013 Jewish Council for Public Affairs Program Excellence Award for innovative programming with Pittsburgh’s African American community. Gregg was also an adjunct lecturer of scenario planning at the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business.

Immediately preceding his arrival to Pittsburgh, Gregg served as the senior political advisor to Danny Ayalon, Deputy Foreign Minister of the State of Israel. He was responsible for the Minister’s relationships with global Jewish organizations, new immigrant advocacy and national interest groups. Gregg also founded a political and strategic communications firm, Praetorian LLP. Some of his clients included the Knesset, Prime Minister’s Office, and Ministries of Education, Foreign Affairs and Public Diplomacy.

He was an international humanitarian aid coordination specialist in the Office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories at the Israeli Ministry of Defense. He is a veteran of Operation Cast Lead and the Second Lebanon War. In addition, he authored several of the Israeli government’s responses to the Goldstone Report and the Turkel commission and developed and implemented policies and programs at the highest levels of the Israeli government.

Gregg moved to Israel in 2006 where he served as an emergency responder in the National Fire Service in Northern Israel and as a spokesperson for the Jewish Agency during the Second Lebanon War. He was the recipient of the Heseg Fellowship at the Lauder School program for Government, Strategy and Diplomacy at the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya. Gregg also served as the Director of Development and Communications for the Global Research in International Affairs (GLORIA) Center, a think tank, at the university.

Gregg was born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Yardley, Pennsylvania. He was a state ranked wrestler during high school and accepted an invitation to join American University’s collegiate team where he studied National Security Studies. His professional career began at the International Law Institute’s Inter-University Center for Legal Studies, Information Warfare and Cyber-Terrorism as Research Director.
